here is a control prp sample i ran last week; (2.5cc whole blood + 0.5cc na-citrate; 1st spin 3k rpm x 3 min; 2nd spin 4.4k rpm x 1 min).
from hemocytometer slide 3.3x objective x 20x objective:
- 1.6mil plt from 2nd spin prp; packed in wall to wall plt with some rbc
- 466k plt from 1st spin prp; uniformly spaced plt as dark spots with some rbc
- 50k plt from 2nd spin ppp; occasional plt appear as translucent spots; no rbc
